About the Company: Knowlton Technologies is a world-leader in the design, accelerated prototyping, and manufacture of wet-laid nonwovens in filtration, friction, and custom designed composite webs. Our focus is on manufacturing filled composites and high performance wet-laid nonwovens. This includes pre-pregs, pre-forms, veil media for engineered composite webs, laminate layers and functional materials for the brake, engine drive train markets as well as fluid filtration.

Advanced Material Engineer


The successful candidate will assist in the research of new raw materials and processes that will benefit the future product developments for the organization. These activities will include the pursuit, analysis, and evaluation of new raw materials that can add benefit to development projects for Knowlton Technologies. Based on new materials identified and market trends, help to develop the new processes needed to optimize the use of the materials that can be processed on equipment currently in use at Knowlton.

Employee will be responsible for assisting in the training of employees in the safe use of new materials and process techniques to utilize new materials within the organization. Assist in the training of relative personnel in the safe processing of new materials, new material attributes, as well as training of new techniques to optimize the use of new materials in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable regulatory laws.

The Facilitator is the on-site coach, trainer, motivator, and expeditor of materials and personnel. He is encouraged to do this in a team spirit to promote employee motivation.

Develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Provides managerial support consistent with accepted industry levels.
